About This Item

Unisono represents the merger of families, origins, and grapes. Both vine growers in their native Europe, Pedro Angulo originated in the Basque country and Angel Innocenti started in Tuscany before immigrating to Argentina in the late 1800s. Their legacy in the vineyards has been passed through the generations and now lies in the hands of Alejandro Angulo and Mariano Innocenti. The estate is a neighbor to the famed Catena Zapata's "Adrianna's Vineyard," and they previously sold their grapes to the iconic producer. In 2010, they began keeping the grapes for themselves to make their own wine.

The La Consulta region in the southernmost part of the Valle de Uco is Angulo Innocenti's location of choice for its 3,500 ft elevation at the base of the Andes Mountains. Such high elevations provide sunny days to create ripeness and cool mountain nights to develop balanced acidity. Each vintage of Unisono employs a slightly different blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc from their best sites to create the perfect balance and unison. The 2013 vintage has all the rich and velvety fruit that we love about Malbec with an added level of complexity and a touch of green savoriness from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
